How to Unbrick | Fix Bootloop Asus Zenfone 5(A500CG, A501CG), 6(A600CG/A601CG)

Most of the users brick their zenfone devices while updating firmware or flashing an update file. When this happens, the zenfone device may be stuck at usb logo or may fall in boot loop. If you are facing these problems with your device, then your zenfone is likely to be called a bricked phone. Don't worry, for the users who bricked their zenfones, today we're here with the tutorial on how to unbrick asus zenfone.


Method 1: Factory Reset

  1. Turn off your phone.
  2. Enter Droidboot by Pressing Volume Up + Power button.

       3. Using Volume Up/Volume Down and Power Button to enter Recovery Mode.

     4. When "error"(or "no command") appear, Press Volume Down + Volume Up(or Volume Up + Power Button) then your phone will enter recovery mode.

     5. Using Volume to move "wipe data/factory reset" then pressing power button. Wait until complete.


  Method 2: Using adb sideload 


  1. Open adb folder, Shift + right click => Open Command Window Here (click on it).

  2. Turn off your phone and enter Droidboot(Fastboot).

  3. After you enter DroidBoot, type in cmd:
    fastboot flash fastboot droidboot.img
    fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
    fastboot flash boot boot.img
    fastboot reboot

  4.  After the recovery & fastboot flash complete go to recovery menu and select on it [navigate using vol up and down , select using power button] [phone will reboot and enter recovery].

  5.  After u enter recovery navigate and select [navigate using vol up and down select using power buttons] update from adb.

  6. And type on adb cmd adbsideload <Frimware File Zip Name> [Example : adb sideload UL-ASUS_T00F-WW-3.24.40.78-user.zip] - Wait Till Done Done.

  7. Wait the for the process to complete, Navigate to reboot and select it [navigate using vol up and down , select using power button].
  8. The Boot Process Will Be Little Longer After This Process Please Be Patient.
